Using my History degree and tech knowledge to tie everything together. That’s the best part of being a humanities major (I will find a way to use my Geography degree) No video today.
========
Since the start of time, technology has been to create:
Art (example? Cave art)
Films
TV shows
Music
it was easy to protect the IP (intellectual property). Because there was no way to copy it (imagine someone trying to copy Picasso’s art. It would take too long).
As technology improved, it became easier to steal the IP (using a camcorder to film a movie inside a movie theatre. Burning the film onto a DVD and selling it on the street; using software like Napster to upload a movie to the Internet for everyone to see for free or using a file sharing service).
Now?
Generative artificial intelligence (AI). With a warning
Your current and future customers are aware that you’re using AI to create new images etc
They hate it when you don’t tell them that you’re using AI in the process and
They have a new word for item #2. “AI look”
If you’re going to use AI, be smart about it.
Use humans to make sure the film, song, picture etc doesn’t look like an AI image, song etc.
Or, borrow these AI ideas from the advertising industry: link
